Installed this on an old Allis tractor that had a 12v generator. Needed the low charge rate ( 3-4 amps) .. Seems to work great.

this is the second one i purchased. i thought the first was defected but realized there is a post on the back that was'nt on the orginal.once that was figured out they both worked great

Works amazing the only reason why I gave it four stars is because it did not come with instructions on how to polarize between the f and b post of the voltage regulator luckily I did know this fact but I could see how if somebody that was new to wrenching or wanted to do it them selves got it thinking oh I have two hood down bolts and five wires to hook up it should be simple could be left scratching their head going what did I do wrong or did I get a bad part

I had to return 2 regulators because both were charging in excess of 16.3vdc The book spec is 13.6 to 14.5vdc. The seller refunded the purchase price and paid return shipping. I feel bad for the seller and myself because I really wanted them to work, but the problem lies with the manufacturer's QUALITY CONTROL.hope the seller can recoup his loss.

Good solid unit wired it up first try and then the Tractor try to start without its the ignition on then figured out that the back Connection for the generator
