Product worked for 2 months. Then half the screen was gone. I tried contacting the seller he never responded. It was evident that it was a used screen because the Apple logo looked like it was scratched and rubbed with something and it lights up- it’s not supposed to do that since it’s a Mac air. Seller never responded to my messages even though I was within the return window. Amazon support wasn’t really much helpUpdate: I purchased another screen from the seller and the camera didn’t work. Seller reached out and sent another screen. Updating my review because this one looks new and works.

I accidentally closed the power cord in my Macbook Air and it cracked the screen. After seeing quotes of around $500 to replace the screen on it (and I paid $800 for the Macbook new) I was about to recycle it, which would have been pretty disappointing at only 3 years old. I decided to give this a try (and found a corresponding YouTube video. If you're very careful it's not bad to do. Maybe the screen is not as crisp as before, but without another laptop side by side, I can't really discern any issues. I read someone who commented on the brightness, but I think it's plenty bright. I have no regrets.
