About this item

  • High Stability: The SIRUI GH30 low-profile ball head design generates stronger locking force and higher stability. The screw knobs are positioned on the side of the ball head rather than the bottom, lowering the center of gravity and enhancing stability overall. Tip: For Other Brands of QR Plates, Please Use a Wrench to Adjust the Side Screw to Perfect Fit
  • One-click Quick Release System Tripod Ball Head: The tripod head mount comes with a quick-release plate for ARCA, making equipment attachment and detachment effortless. Enjoy the convenience of rapid transitions and compatibility with various camera types. (Due to variations in specifications among quick-release plates for ARCA from different manufacturers, we recommend using the quick-release plate provided in our kit for optimal compatibility)
  • High Load Capacity: The camera ball head mount is constructed from aluminum alloy, boasting a maximum load capacity of 22lbs/10kg, ensuring remarkable durability. It features rubber padding at the top to protect the camera from potential scratches
  • 360° Panoramic & Multi-angle Shooting: The base of the SIRUI ball head is intricately laser-engraved with increments of ±0°-330° at 5° intervals, perfect for incremental panning, making it an ideal choice for multi-image panoramic photography. It offers -90°/+45° forward tilt and -50°/+50° lateral tilt for adjusting between horizontal and vertical shooting angles and more
  • Extensive Compatibility: This ball head comes with a 1/4"-20 screw quick-release plate and features a 3/8"-16 internal thread hole at the bottom. Additionally, it includes a 3/8" to 1/4" thread adapter in the package. This versatility makes the ball head compatible with most DSLR cameras, camcorders, heavy-duty binoculars, tripods, monopods, camera sliders, and more.

This head is fantastic. It’s surprisingly small and light for its strength. I loaded it up as much as I could just to be sure and it doesn’t budge. It’s very well thought out and made. The clamp works perfectly. I’m always very iffy about lever clamps because they have a tendency to loosen on their own. This one hasn’t budged yet. I’ve never actually recommended one to anybody before, but I highly recommend this one.I’ve bought a few different things from Sirui over time and the quality is always impressive. I actually got this for their am-225 tripod and it’s *perfect* for it. I really don’t know why they don’t offer it with this as an option. Combined, this is now my absolute favorite lightweight/travel/hiking tripod.I really don’t have any gripes about it. Locking the ball requires a touch more turning than you’d expect, but it’s not anything I’d call a problem. I’m very happy with this thing, just as I’ve been with everything I’ve used from Sirui.

During last decade I have owned and used many camera accessories, among them different types of tripods and ball heads. Despite all these gears that I collected , I always wanted something small but capable that I could use with my travel tripod. And this ball head did what I exactly wanted and more, its not only small enough for packing for day trips or maybe vacations it is also very sturdy and heavy duty, it handles my Nikon Z8 with 24-120 with ease. When all locked, it stays locked in and no movement. Great product.

I purchased one of these to use with a new "headless" monopod. Very happy with this choice. I use camera "L" cages that have built-in Arca features and this unit is compact, easily locks into place, and has a quick release/lock lever for the Arca plates. I'm very happy and purchased a second one to go with a compact tripod I have on the way from crowd funding campaign.

Had high hopes for this ballhead. Unfortunately once mounted on the tripod the ballhead would not drop into the drop slot it was made to go into for downward shooting.I took it off the tripod and it worked as intended. There must be something wrong with the design having to do with pressure on the unit when installed. I made several attempts to get the ball to drop but it would lock up before the angle needed to use the drop slot.I really like the lever wrench on the side to lock the Arca Swiss plate. This is the main thing that attracted me to this unit. It was so much less expensive than the Really Expensive Stuff competitor. The single lock lever is smaller than what I expected and was difficult to use. There’s no tension control at all other than adjusting this lever to taste and trusting your expensive camera gear to your own judgement. This could easily be an expensive mistake. It is a shorter unit than most and very compact. If you have large American hands then the controls may feel too close to each other. I liked the shape of the panorama knob, the lever on the tension, and the large plate lock lever. They are all large enough that I think they would be fit to use with gloves on during winter use. At least for those who have smaller hands. The ballhead itself is pretty small but it is rated at 22kg or about 10 pounds. This will easily hold a DSLR camera or mirrorless camera and lenses up to a 70-200 or a 300mm.Had the ballhead worked as designed this would be a great buy.Rather than returning it I took the Arca Swiss mounting plate off the ballhead itself and put it on another larger ballhead that had both locking and tension controls. This way I got full use of the angles I needed and also got the large lever lock that originally attracted me to this in the first place. Fortunately my old ballhead accepted the new plate just fine.

Used this to replace the head on a small tripod. Holds the camera in position more securely than original.

Super Qualität und Haptik, für mein Stativ war der Durchmesser leider nicht passend.

This is a very well designed and manufactured product. I've fitted it to a Sirui monopod, and am very pleased with it. The only problem I have (and why I can't yet give 5 stars), is that I can't find any replacement quick release plates. (It's easy to lose plates, so venturing in to the field I need to carry spares) It uses a 38mm ARCA-style plate, but those available from other retailers do not fit. I've tried to contact Sirui, but to date no success.

A ball head that fits an Arca plate using a cam, rather than screw, lock should be a great tool. It should be so much quicker to lock the camera in place than a screw-lock. Only it isn't.I largely use Peak Designs Arca plates and Three Legged Thing right angle brackets. The locking mechanism has to be slackened off to fit the Peak plate and the Three Legged Thing brackets. When I use a Chinese-made Arca plate, I then have to tighten up the locking mechanism using the supplied Allen Key.It's such a pain that I've gone back to using screw clamp heads.
