The bottle is substantial and solid aluminum. It makes sparkling water as well as my son's SodaStream. This is the only seltzer bottle I have ever used, so I can't compare this bottle to any other. However, it requires a plastic insert being put into the bottle before screwing on the cap.

This is more wasteful. You can only use it 1x per cartridge. Whatever one liquid you choose to fill it up with. The opening is small, and even though it tells you don’t fill it up all the way, you can’t see inside, so there is no real way of knowing how much liquid you put in unless it overflows. I’m returning mine today.

It should have included a CO2 cartridge. It requires 8 gram food grade CO2 cartridges and didn’t include one. That required an additional order that I wasn’t aware of!

I just make plain carbonated water which I like to make other drinks I prefer to mix it with fruit juice to make drinks that aren’t overly sweet

You get what you pay for. First one started spitting water out of the CO2 valve after 3 uses. Exchanged for a second one and that one's valve rejected more gas than it let into the bottle. There won't be a third.

I bought this to try to save on the canned soda waters I was buying. It worked well for a while, but definitely hasn’t saved me anything in the long run. I’m about to throw it away.
