Here's the Sony "give and take" machine. The sleekly handsome M-2000 "takes" dictation, records meetings, interviews, even phone conversations, using convenient microcassettes in two speeds. Then it "gives" what's been recorded, playing it back for transcribing or just listening. The M-2000 has an automatic backspace that replays the last few seconds for transcribing confirmation, and variable playback speed for greater transcribing accuracy. Compact design needs little desk space. Foot control and listening device are included.

My husband is the "secretary" of the Cancer Association Board where we live. He is used to dictating things for his work, so I bought a transcriber so I could use it to type up the minutes for him. It works like a dream! Many, many years ago I used a transcriber and it was no trouble getting the hang of it again. The machine is in excellent shape and it came with all I needed. I am very impressed with the seller! I don't hesitate to recommend them highly! 5 stars plus!!

Bought this because I was told that Sony was a good brand. However the sound quality is horrible. After awhile the sound gets so low that you can't hear it at all. I have to back up and listen again in order the make the sound come back. I tried cleaning the heads, tried using new tapes and nothing seems to help. Very frustrating.

We were using the handheld recorders to get the job done. When we found this refurbished unit, we were so excited it had all the parts and works. This was the second one we tried the first was incomplete and did not work. When I saw this and it was listed with all its parts, I jumped on it. AND YEAH, it came complete and it operates properly. The price was perfect for our budget too. It did not break our bank. Thank you!

This item is a great item except for one thing. The volume is not good. You have to turn it all the way up to hear it adequately. I am glad to see that everyone has this problem and its not my hearing though!

Worked great for 2 days! Thankfully return went without a hitch. Will never buy another refurbished machine. Ended up paying twice the amount for a new Panasonic. I hope this keeps until retirement😊

I realize this is old school but still used in my medical office. New ones are basically unobtainable, so we decided to give this reconditioned item a try. This vendor is the best,sent item out promptly, very well packaged but most importantly, it works and looks like new. Catastrophe averted! I’d highly recommend this vendor.

Ease of use with this machine is great. We tried one of the new fangled units but never get it downloaded onto our computer, so we finally sent it back and went back to this Sony equipment and love it.

I ordered a new microcassette transcriber for the office. When I received it, the box was torn and taped and discolored. The machine arrived in Styrofoam that was yellow, battered, and also falling apart. The instructions were printed in 1998. I paid full price for a new product and definitely got something refurbished. Want my money refunded.
