Bought this to monitor water levels and it seems to work properly. Has made alarm every time water level hits the sensors. Alarm can be set to low medium high volume. Alarm does get muted if device gets completely submerged. Seems like a good purchase.

I noticed that although it didn’t notify me through the app/to my phone directly at first, a few hours later after testing it a few times here and there, it finally sent me push notifications on my phone through the app, not just through email. So I’d get alerts on my phone just like a text message. I tested with water drops.So basically I recommend that after you buy it, give yourself a buffer of a day or 2 just for setting up and testing it before using it officially. I would only return if if it doesn’t notify you (after setting it up to notify you) after a day or 2 of testing and making sure everything is right.You just need to be a little patient but it works eventually, technically, so I’m fine with it now. You should test it once in a while to make sure. I will change my review if I uncover any other issues, but I think it’s fine now. Pretty good for the price. Get it, just give a buffer of a day before giving up.

I purchased two to put in my crawlspace to alert me of a water leakage. I have a hot water heater and a small condensation pump (from a dehumidifier). I placed one at the low point of where water would run if the water heater sprung a leak and one next to the pump. They connect to my house WiFi and the app alerts me when it detects a leak. They also sound an audible alarm. All alert/alarm settings are adjustable via the app. So far, so good.

Key features vs others on Amazon:⺠IP67 means it can be immersed for up to 30 min. Many other ones are IP66 which means they are only "splash-proof" -- kind of useless when the whole point is to detect flooding!⺠Does not require a hub.My fears were poor wifi range, and email notification that wouldn't work. But no, they both work great.It also works with an app, if you prefer that.

Device is supposed to be 100 db but I don’t think it isSetup was a little difficult but I got it working ok on the second tryI do like the fact that it sends a notice to my phone

Zoals gewoonlijk werkt het apparatuur van Switchbot.Geen problemen met het installeren, het werkt snel en naar behoren. Nu krijgen wij netjes een melding als er lekkage is. Goede uitbreiding van mijn Switchbot/smarthome omgeving.

Really pleased with the ability to turn down the volume and WiFi connectivity, which can send notices my phone. Great functionality, great pricing, too.
