Installation Steps
1.Place metal hook over shaft.
2.Place plastic washer over shaft.
3.Insert shaft through clock face.
4.Place dial plate brass washer over shaft.
5.Attach dail fixing brass hex nut.
6.Gently press hour hand onto shaft at 12:00 postion.
7.Place minute hand over shaft at 12:00 postion.
8.Gently screw minute nut in place.
How to get the right replacement
A- Thread length: 5 mm (13/64 inch)
B- Total shaft length is 18 mm (45/64 inch)
Measure the thread shaft of your old clock mechanism, if the length is shorter or equal to 5 mm, then this clock movement mechanism is suitable for your clock.

It was as described. Arrived promptly.Several sizes to choose from. The one I used was slightly smaller than I needed but it worked out fine. I needed to use my needle nose pliers to tighten the nut but all else only needed fingers. Clock is keeping accurate time. Do read ALL directions before you start.It will help. Honest!

My patio outdoor clock was recently out of function so I tried first time to buy a new one, but fortunately after I searched amazon.com online and realized that I can only buy this product to replace the clock mechanism of the old bad one without the need to buy a whole new clock. After I received this product and followed the installation steps I have succeeded in fixing my old clock and now it looks pretty good just like new.

One size does not fit all clocks. Fortunately after some clicking around and reading closely I realized this was the case and estimated the correct dimensions to replace my old mechanism. Replacement went smoothly plus I decided to use the new hands for a new look.
