AT6131S Features & Installation Modes
Smart Chip & Manual Release Key
- The “auto-close” function ultimately secures the property after you leave.
- Stops in case of obstruction during gate opening, and reverses in case of obstruction during gate closing. Adjust the stall force to get your desired open / close obstruction sensitivity. Higher stall force level, lower obstruction sensitivity.
- Soft start and soft stop ensure a long-lasting performance.
- The above modules can be adjusted on the smart control panel directly.
- Equipped with manual release key in case of power outage or when you lose your remote.
Gate Capability
- AT6131S gate opener works well for the medium duty single swing gate up to a maximum of 18ft. in length (correspondingly 100lbs. in weight).
- Suitable for the swing gate up to 660lbs. in weight (correspondingly 4ft. in length).
- Kindly note that the max. gate length capability is inversely proportional to the gate weight.
Max. Opening Angle of the Gate in Pull-to-Open Installation Mode
- The gate is allowed to open inwards viewed from inside property with the pull-to-open mode. The related bracket is included.

How to Power This Gate Opener? (NOTE: The tiny CR2025 3V button cell batteries that come with the package are ONLY for the remote control.)
Power Mode 1 (Recommended Mode) – By Solar Panels and Batteries
- Batteries as main power source, use only solar panel to charge the batteries (UPS01 Uninterrupted Power Supply is functioned as a solar charge controller).
- Recommended in remote location such as farm, ranch, pasture, etc.
- Requires additional 24V 12Ah Automotive / Marine type battery (NOT incl.).

I had been using mighty mule for 5+ years. Glad i switched when i needed a new openerThe Topen gate you manually set the at the arm as compared to the MM which you program with the remote. manual way is much easier to set.i had an electric lock already installed which works perfectly with the Topen. the timing on the MM was never quite right. i had so have the arm adjusted to close tight against the stop. otherwise it would bounce off the stop and not lockIt quickly and easily hooked up to wifi, apple homekit and siri. never worked with MM.very easy setup and the support was immediately there to answer some pre and post purchases questions

I love this thing. After a few weeks of using every curse word in the book. I tried to install it in an afternoon but in reality, you need to give yourself a whole day. Also, its not a one person job. You need help. If installation is offered... pay it. It will save you a lot of frustration. Having said that. The gate opener works great. The remote works, but the range is very bad. Also, the gate open speed is pretty slow even after cranking up the speed. Overall though, it keeps you from having to open the gate when you come home. And, with the auto lock provides pretty decent security.

Ok- so I purchased two of these units based largely upon the reviews. I installed both on ranch gates: one 14 foot and one 16 foot. Installation process was, to be honest, lengthy and and labor intensive for me but the directions were quite good and straight forward. I also installed the solar panels with battery backups which appear to work well. So far, the unit on the 14 foot gate has worked problem free. Unfortunately, the unit I installed on the 16 foot gate gave out completely after only a month or so of use in spite of the fact that the gate weight was well inside of the product specs. For some reason, the screw (or nylon nut) inside of the actuator just froze up. I couldn't move it manually even though the motor clutch was disengaged. And I couldn't return it as I had already passed the Amazon return date. So, I purchased a second unit (the same model) hoping it would perform better. From the start, the actuator arm would not retract (open) all the way. It would open 45 degrees and simply stop. I had the limit switches set properly along with the Potentiometers. I tried running the motor off the the gate and still encountered the same issue. I reached out to the Topens tech support center via email. They were very responsive but I had essentially already tried everything they suggested. In sum, no amount of tech support can fix mediocre engineering (at best) and generally poor component quality. This unit is going back to Amazon. Here's my general assessment after spending hours messing with 3 of these things: Topens units are fundamentally "entry level" openers so you will have to manage your expectations. There are many plastic parts inside and out which I suspect will not provide robust and reliable performance for very long. Although my control boards seem OK, I've read in other places that quality control on those can be hit or miss. One thing that also annoys me is that there is absolutely no way to operate the unit without the key fobs. It would be nice to have an independent switch option inside the control box. In addition, the clutch mechanism, which is activated with a key, seems to lack that solid positive response. Occasionally, it's difficult to discern if the actuator is engaged or not. Finally, if you reside in an area which is prone to higher winds, you WILL notice play in the actuator arm which surely must be hard on the internal components. I was hoping to just get a decent unit without having to spend literally thousands on the nicer premium openers. Unfortunately, Topens has been mostly disappointing and there just doesn't seem to be many "middle market" products available to average consumers.

Installed this myself, first time installing a gate opener. Installation was relatively easy once I figured out where to put the opener and all the connected devices. All the materials to complete the system cost more than the item itself so be prepared for that additional cost. Technical support was very helpful with resolving the issues I had so no complaints there.

Ya tiene 5 meses de uso y sin problemas relacionados con el aparato. El manual no es muy claro, podrÃa mejorarse infinitamente, si no se tiene conocimiento y habilidades de instalación, definitivamente contratar a un profesional, el kit en mi caso requirió de varios aditamentos que se venden por separado, 1.- la chapa eléctrica ( sin esta, se puede forzar el portón a abrir y posiblemente arruinar su aparato) 2.- módulo para operar con sistema homelink (si se tiene automóviles con este sistema) 3. Módulo de entrada numérica, para acceso ( muy útil si se instala en un lugar con varias personas que requieren acceso por contraseña y o tarjeta de acceso) 4,- baterÃas de buena capacidad ( en especial si la instalación es n un lugar remoto, o donde hay fallas eléctricas constantes y la puerta abre y cierra un buen número de veces, recordando que funciona a 24v) 5.- botón de apertura para salida o bien otro módulo de acceso numérico o de tarjeta ( para un lugar cerrado)El sistema, una vez completado funciona muy bien, esta instalado en un portón de entrada de lámina de acero en rodamientos, de aprox 3m x 3m y lo mueve sin problemas, las 3 funciones trabajan perfectamente, fuerza, soft stop, tiempo para cierre automático, opera primeramente con corriente eléctrica, y carga las baterÃas , en caso de falla eléctrica, en automático pasa a utilizar las baterÃas y la carga de las mismas vÃa los paneles solares, ( que para el uso que tiene este sistema, constante abre y cierra unas 20 veces al dÃa mÃnimo, son insuficientes) , para resumir, una vez que se completa el sistema para los requerimientos de cada persona y uso , es un sistema que funciona muy muy bien .
