What is a tufting gun?
- Tufting gun is a lightweight tufting machine that is used to manufacture rugs. It is far faster than manual techniques such as punch needles.
- Tufting guns work similarly to sewing machines. It has a "foot" that sits on the backing cloth, and a big needle feeds yarn through it, it will leave a strand (cut pile) or a loop (loop pile).
- Tufting guns provide a number of benefits over conventional rug-making or weaving methods. They are, as previously stated, extremely quick. A medium-sized rug may be completed in a matter of hours.
- You can feed different threads of yarn through the tufting gun at the same time. Make intriguing combinations by using inventive combinations.

This is so much better than making rugs by hand with a "needle". If you are a beginner, just know it is quite fast, but if you press and release , you can gain better control over the tufting gun.The trimmers are easy to use with attachments for different length of carpet. I do have to admit I like most of mine to have that shaggy look, but the clippers do help to make it neater and can add depth. I love this thing and wish I had it years ago!

This tool has most of what you need to get going. you will need more yarn and having some base to just practice with would be good. Unless you have experience you may have a little learning curve. it wasn't hard, but it does take a little planning, practice and set-up. the tools works well and seems well made. all problems I had were traced back to my own inexperience. Still learning and having a blast

I got this kit for my wife who wanted to learn carpet tufting. This kit is great for a beginner and includes most of the basics which is nice. She's likes that its a bit smaller and easier to maneuver. The included shaver is also a nice inclusion, as it helps someone feel out the craft before investing in premium equipment/tools.

This tufting gun is pretty awesome. It's my first time ever trying to tuft a carpet but I love art and I've always wanted to do it. I noticed that its a little smaller than the tufting guns that im used to seeing. So many great accessories cane with the kit and thanks to the instructions, starting was a breeze. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Once I got going, I was on the roll. I made a really small rug to plave in the front of my shower. The end result was really nice for a first timer. I'm really proud of myself.The gun is pretty easy to use with the help of the instructions and the assortment of colors of knitted material to make the carpet were plentiful and really pretty. It's great for first timers but I honestly think that this set is also perfect for experienced tufters. The best oart about it is that the cost of this kit is inexpensive and is very well worth the money. It's a win win!
