These are perfect for what I needed. They are built well, fit very snug and were the right price.Something to know about Sony cameras. The hot shoe is very susceptible to water and moisture. If the hot shoe connectors get wet, even with a more weather sealed camera, the camera will throw some error codes telling you "the device can't be read by the camera" (paraphrasing here). Basically the camera is reading the moisture and assuming it's a device that isn't compatible. It's incredibly annoying and can last for a few hours until the hot shoe mount connectors are completely dried out. This happened to me on a recent wedding where it rained and it was a complete headache.I would honestly say if you want complete protection, use one of these and tape down the cover to protect any seams. If you're anticipating rain, it's a great idea.

Over the years I've lost hotshoe covers for some of my cameras. This is a perfect solution. The cover clicks in and fits perfectly.
