I ordered this not knowing it would really be that useful. I can tell you now, that it's been the best investment when it comes to reading and studying. It's like having a second hand. I love how I can put just about any size book on this and it'll hold it. I've even used it to hold my iPad.The built in page holders have been a surprisingly great perk, as I can hold onto a page, walk away from the book and come back to pick up where I left off. I love how they are metal, which makes them durable but they also have a rubber sleeve on the tips so they don't rib any pages while holding them in place. I use this to hold bible pages in place, which have more delicate pages compared to your average book, and I've haven't had any damaged pages.Last plus, is how aesthetic it is. It has a really nice look to it. I love the Bamboo/wood with black. Very modern and blends well with our furniture/office space. I've gotten plenty of compliments from friends, impressed by how practical this item is.I recommend this as a nice addition to your study materials.

Great addition to my WFH setup! Lightweight, yet sturdy!I bought it for textbooks, but also use it for my iPad if I want to have a visual Pomodoro timer or video chat since the stand gives me a wider option of angles (pic 5 & 6) and more stability than my tablet case does.I have a lot of computer assignments with instructions in the textbook, and it was difficult to switch back and forth because I would have to move my whole head and would often lose my place. It wasn’t horrible before, but using this stand makes it SO much easier and I don’t get sore from having bad posture. This is also great for just reading textbooks since looking straight down gets uncomfortable & larger textbooks are awkward to hold.I’ve never needed to use the metal arms, the ledge has been big enough for me so far. I’m not sure if there’s a way to loosen them, but the arms are very tight (pic 4) and might damage thin pages - or at least be a hassle to remove and replace when you change pages. My only real concern is that the hinge for the wooden part of the stand is kind of floppy, there is no resistance to the hinge. (Pic 7) This isn't an issue if you leave it set up or use it infrequently (when on a table it’s very sturdy and easy to adjust the angle), but since the stand is loose you have to be more conscious when you’re moving it around. This stand also collapses into a nice thin profile which makes storing it nearby really convenient, but if you’re frequently taking it out and putting it away, Velcro might be an easy way to keep it all tight and together when collapsed.Be careful when you pick the stand up because it might scrape your table. I have a piece of craft felt under mine at the moment to protect my table, but eventually I’ll cut and glue it to the stand. The stand really needs to be on a flat surface like a table, it’ll just fall when you move if it’s on your lap.I’m no carpenter, but the wood seems real and has nice texture, it doesn’t look too cheap next to higher quality wood. It would be nice if the hinges were black to match the arms and stand, but since they’re covered when in use it’s not significant.

Sturdy, light-weight. Holds a book well, great for hands free reading.

Little but mighty! Holds a very heavy, 1 5/8" thick book, 6 2/8w x 9 2/8h can underline and highlight anything as I am reading. It's fabulous as I have another book on a higher stand behind this lower stand to do deep dive on what I'm studying. Worth every penny and more!

it's a good product and sturdy but omg it's just that for a book I got this thinking I could have it for work and put paperwork on this to be able to write on while having paper propped up, but it is nowhere near letter size. so, this is as described for a book lol.

I bought a cheaper, simpler book stand that was bulky and rustic/primitive but it didn’t have enough features and wasn’t the quality I wanted. This one is versatile and a good value! This size accommodates larger sized books and the angle is adjustable. My favorite feature are the little arms that hold the pages - they have little grips at the tips so it really holds on to the page. I am using it on a 2†paperback and it does so with no problem. The ledge at the bottom is deep enough to support the book and the little arm is flexible enough to hold the page open. It’s still easy to flip pages.Bamboo wood is attractive and it takes up the right amount of space on the countertop for the stability it provides.I’d definitely buy another if I needed one!
