Affordable and works great which isn’t something you get to say much anymore. If it’s affordable usually it’s poorly made but this product is sturdy and well made.

Has a few rough edges but can be polished off with a Dremel, or a 1000 plus grit sandpaper and a wood dowel rod. It needs some grip to keep the copper from slipping.

This tool works well to expand pex piping but can get really stuck so lub the expander tip so it can slip back out also if the tip you need is too big use a smaller one to get the pipe a little more wide then remove and insert your desired size tip and give it a min or so at full expansion before you remove it then don’t delay before you invert your connector as I’ve experienced the pipe to shrink back when I waited too long.

I’m not an AC guy I work on cars. This came with the extra tooling. I was not aware I needed worked extremely well and would definitely recommend this, if you’re gonna install your own AC.

Purchased to flare HVAC lineset. I lubricated it and it produced a nice flare on the copper tubing. Only negative is that it leaves some “bite marks†on the exterior of the tube but that is only cosmetic and it does not affect the flare.
