This is a great sander: powerful; high-speed/fast; sealed power switch; loooong power cord; pretty good dust collector system. BUT...as is the case with palm sanders in this price range, the paper clamping setup can be frustrating. Very hard to orient the paper and get it to clamp properly- it's a clearance design issue.If you step up to, say a DeWalt--at almost twice the price--you get a great, easy to use clamp setup. And if you sand a lot, then that is likely money well spent. But for the occasional user, this is more than adequate.

It is perfect for what i use it - drywall plaster sanding. No complaints, but... It is UNGODLY LOUD. Like the loudest handheld tool i've ever used. It may be bad if working wiit human environment, but on the other side - dig this - you work in new construction house. There are still carpenters on site, they have various saws and radio on full blast. So the guys obviously will not turn the volume down just to speak. So when you come with this sander, nobody bat an eye, thinking - pff, such a smol sander, what we care. But you turn it on, knowing well how deadly loud it is, and you watch their faces, their smiles suddenly fading. And some part of you is thankfull to satan for creating it, as you are wearing ear protection. So yes, I would buy again

maybe too powerful for Velcro? since as stated no variable speed control and SERIOUSLY! change the description/ measurements of paper/sheet and perhaps include an adequate length for the tool, feeling like i spent more time changing paper than sanding, until able to get large sheets that could be cut to fit

With over 50 years working with wood, I have owned and used many sanders. This machine is surprisingly light yet the vibrations don’t put your hand to sleep! The clamp and Velcro combination is a bit over kill but allows the option of using non-Velcro paper. The handy paper perforating tool is a nice extra and allows the dust collection feature a chance to do its thing. Over all a great value!

The clamps that are meant to hold the Sandpaper are too small in width and wouldn't work to hold the paper. It wouldn't even hold the two types of samples that came with it. Terrible product save your money I returned mine

the sander that comes with it is poor quality. the sander is great. yes putting the paper on might not be the easiest. I found putting rear on first makes is easier. the dust works well. I've not tried the vacuum adapter yet..will soon. the hole punch is a little awkard but works. I would buy this again. time will tell on durability. the last 2 makitas don't seem as good
