I got a Nano double dome and use these, and let me start by saying these bulbs and the nano fixture alone are great. Super convenient for small tanks and really there's nothing else even available to fit that size and power range. So you have to kind of love that they came out with them. But I was using a 35 watt Nano halogen in the other socket and the halogen gets quite hot and I feel it has to shorten the UVB light's life span. It gets hot. And I'd imagine similar situation with one of the Nano heat emitters or what have you. So I eventually moved the Nano halogen bulb to a single "mini" dome by itself with a porcelain socket spacer to lower it a bit, and have a little 3 watt blue LED nightlight bulb in the 2nd socket of the Nano double dome. Now the Nano dual dome stays cool day and night and the halogen has more space around it and it's not cooking this UVB light..More an issue of the Nano double dome being used with hotter bulbs/emitters than any issue with this little UVB bulb on it's own. The UVB bulb alone hardly even gets warm in the Nano dome. But some of the other Nano bulbs get hot. I don't think it's unsafe, but for the sake of not cooking your bulbs it would have been nice if the fixture was just a hair bigger and had some better ventilation for cooling. Just some food for thought if you're using the nano dual dome. This little UVB bulb is decent as far as UVB compact florescent go. They all seem more expensive than they really need to be and don't always last as long as you hope. But these aren't bad. And really it's awesome to have something in this size and power range for small setups.

Been using these bulbs for months now. Micro, and powerful.

Purchased two of these bulbs from different sources. First one went out after 3 weeks of 10 hours a day. 2nd bulb burnt out after 40 hours of use. Waste of money, borderline scam. Disappointing from ZooMed

I’ve had this for months and occasionally get a tiny bit of flickering but still holding strong for my Aussie whites :)

It works great for my ribbon snakes, they get their UVB & its small so it fits the reptile lamp that l have.

I used this for overwintering some baby tortoises. It provided adequate light and seemed to work as well as larger UVA/UVB compact fluorescents. I prefer natural sunlight, but I didn't want tortsicles.

The bulb is now dead only after 4 months. These bulbs aren't cheap. Should last at least a year. I only got 4 months out of it. It's on 8 hrs a day. I just purchased a different brand.
