I bought the cartridge and puller as a combo set. I wouldn’t have purchased the knockoff 1222 cartridge, but it was only a few dollars more than just buying the cartridge puller. As soon as I got it installed it leaked at the valve stem. It was a gamble that didn’t pay off. I ended up purchasing a Moen brand cartridge and it worked perfectly.

The product came much earlier than I expected. Everything was in the package as stated and the instructions was easy to follow. Great, sure glad I purchase the item on amazon and not from Moen.

Cartridge went out on bathtub and I was unable to turn off water. Plumber was 2 day appointment but Amazon got me the part next day… did it myself, got my water back quick and saved money! (Even with home warranty plumber visit is minimum $75 dollars) this 😉 and a 3 minute youtube video… took me 15 minutes to complete repair! So far… it’s working perfectly!

My old cartridge was 25 yr old and well stuck in the fixture. The puller moved it about 1/8" and bottomed out.(no more clearance).I made a PVC spacer with 3/4" clearance slots to finish the job. Without using the puller the cartridge would not have come free. Replacing the cartridge was a breeze and works like new.See some on line U Tube vids for a proper puller design

I watched a YouTube video how to swap out the broken and new part. I only needed a screwdriver (small flat blade and a Phillips head), pliers, and the tool that came with the kit to complete the job. It required a fair amount of force to dislodge the old cylinder after removing the retaining pin. I lubricated the rubber parts as directed and inserted the new cylinder without any force. I had to use a small flat head screwdriver to push in the bottom portion of the retaining pin to get it seated.Very happy with the purchase and highly recommend the seller.
