After reading the description, these should have fit a 2x4 stud. Unfortunately, these do not fit. They are too small and cannot sit flush against a standard 2x4. I purchased my lumber from home depot and lowes like many other DIYers, so its apparent these are not made correctly. Do not buy.

I recently purchased the Evecad 20PCS Metal Stud Shoes for my 2-inch pipes and was hoping for a secure fit. While the shoes fit the pipe diameter perfectly, I encountered issues with the fit on my 2x4 studs. It seems like the design are for narrower than standard 2x4 dimensions. Unfortunately, this incompatibility renders the product useless for my intended purpose. Disappointed with the lack of fit, I cannot recommend this product.

They worked for my purposes but because they are about â…› or 1/16 inch too narrow, I had to pound them on at an already week point of the stud where the plumbing was. Not ideal for that reason, but it worked.

These literally do not fit. No other way to say it. They are too narrow.

I’m not sure why they would label these as 10 pairs (20pcs); just consider it 20 pcs, there is no need to pair these up on your framing/plumbing project; you probably wouldn’t even be able to use one on both sides (easily) unless you’re working on wall sizes larger than 2x6, and then you wouldn’t likely need them. They splayed out slightly on install, meaning they’re a hair to thin width wise but nothing your nails/screws don’t immediately fix. A good deal if you need 20; both protects your plumbing and strengthens your stud. Used for my 2†drain pipes and worked quite well. Depending on your pipe placement you may still need to protect the pipe on the opposite side but another one of these is unnecessary, just get some nail plates. They were perfect for my intended use.

Outside dimension is 1½" not inside dimension so they are approximately 1/16 inch too narrow. So disappointed that I will have to be returning them.
