It mostly works as advertised, though the USB-A port sometimes doesn't load some flash drives to my MacBook Pro (but works with others).

Note this has a USB-C input. It won't work if you have the older USB-A connector!Used this to run a Powerpoint slideshow at an event with my MS Surface Go tablet. Worked great. USB-C power-in connector was critical as it kept my tablet charged. Used HDMI with a projector in this case, but did test it with both HDMI and VGA on a monitor. Worked great. Extra USB-A input is a nice touch.DIdn't check for sound on the HDMI. I'll have to try that out and update the review appropriately, but it saved me from hauling out a full size laptop for a couple of hours this time.

I bought this to connect my Linux Mint computer to a TV or second monitor, but the video ports will not do anything.The USB and audio out ports work fine, but nothing on the side with the HDMI port or the VGA port.I just sent a question to Shuomeng customer service through Amazon, so we'll see what happens next!

I've been using this for a few days now and it seems to work as intended! I really wanted a USB C dock that had a VGA port on it because I have an old monitor that only has VGA. The quality seems pretty good and the port seems to be relatively well built. I tried it on a Windows laptop and a MacBook and it worked fine for both.

This is a great little accessory for Mac users. It allows you to access additional screens, or USB attachments, among other connection options. Reasonably priced. Great value.
