I have been using AMPINVT 80amp charge controllers for about 5 years now, I have 3 of them and have had no issues with them. So I thought I would try there power inverters. I purchased the 6000w 48v one. Time will tell on how long it will hold up. One thing I did notice is that the no load draw is only 28watts, which is pretty low compared to a lot of other inverters, so that is nice. I do like that you can mount this on the wall so the digital panel is facing you. I see there is a fair amount of bad feed back on these units, but its the same with the charge controllers, I think you can get bad ones right out of the box with any brand, and I suspect in some cases its the operator. This unit is pretty easy to set up. I think it is kind of cheap of them not to include the remote panel, for what a person is paying it should be included or at least offer it on amazon. So we will see, Our house is off grid so this is our only power source so it has to run the house and shop. I did run my compressor a couple times and it performed very well. There was absolutely no hesitation on start up, and I have a pretty big compressor. With my old inverter there was a slight hesitation. The fans in this are a variable speed, they are always on, but very low idle. So far this thing has run cold. Hope this helps

Easy to use. Powerful enough to run 2 hp deep well pump.

I have only had it installed for a few days but it seems to be working very well.We live off the grid and use this inverter and solar to supply 90% of our electricity. It delivers 120/240VAC of clean power. Safe for your most sensitive electrical devices. It did not come with a users manual and technical support is almost non-existent. It could be challenging for someone with little or no experience with inverters. It runs all our household appliances. Washer, dryer, refrigerator, chest freezer, microwave etc. It also runs all of my power tools with no problems. Table saw, compressor ect.I think is is a very good inverter for the price.A nice feature of this inverter is "Generator Mode". When you do have to run your generator due to lack of sun or whatever, you can run it through the inverter and it "cleans up" the power as well as charges the batteries.A users manual would be nice but I think most people living off the grid can figure it out.Helpful hint. If you press and hold the 'Enter" button for 10 seconds it will take you to the programming part where you adjust the settings to suit your specific needs.

Bought this inverter for use in my RV with 24 volt LiFePO4 battery system. Had it for 2 years but only used it for 4 or 5 short camping trips. Used it to power a microwave and the Air Conditioner. These two units only pull 2400 watts total, so this isn't even half of the unit's 5000 watt rating. Unit wasn't even being used when it failed, it had just been sitting for the off season. Then it wouldn't power up, light up, or anything. It worked well when it was working, but don't expect any help from the manufacturer if you have a problem.

If you want a inverter with a powerful ac charger or an mppt charge controller built in then don't buy this. If you want a inverter that puts out clean and reliable power then this is your beast. Every inverter I have owned made my lights flicker in my house drove me nuts. Not with this inverter!!! Not 1 flicker not 1!!! And it is way cheaper then the more popular inverters. Dealing with the shippers and receiving 2 damaged units I kept 1 and it still is better then the more expensive units. Of course I have only had it hooked up for a week now but so far so good. I will update if it turns to crap.

My old inverter would turn ON-OFF rapidly with some some loads. This is nice and stable!

Been in talks with the company, the inverter worked great for 3 months of relatively light usage. The unit randomly went up in smoke and showed "output short". I switched to shore power and there definitely is no short, the load I was running was drawing about 7 amps (ac 240v). I sent a few emails and the manufacturer is wanting to send boards and not replace the unit. My concern is replacing the boards and still no function then what? Will update review if anything changesUpdate: new boards were sent an the unit is back up and running for now. They did provide replacement parts at no cost

We connected this to our solar panel system in our RV and it has been a pain to have to constantly manage the settings and modes. Our RV came with a small 12v setup and we upgraded it to include a 48v system that will power both lines. We have 16k panels input and 300ah battery set up and we cannot charge/top off the battery pack and run an air conditioning unit, even plugged up to 30 or 50 amp without the unit cutting off as a fault, even by lowering the battery feed to almost nothing. And when the sun is high and a full charge is going into the 48v system and the device is set to run as the priority, we have to turn on an AC unit because there isn't enough power pull to register (10%) and keep it on, it just charges the battery. Hubby is a BSEE and has designed more than one system. This is his first time with this product and he has been messing with this for a couple months but since he can't tweak the settings, he has to get up in the middle of the night to turn it back when it kicks off. We finally just uncoupled it and we only use it with the solar panels.Tech support was responsive but basically told him what he already figured out - no way to adjust the settings values.Would not recommend for anything more complicated than a single input system. Failed for our multiple input 48v setup. Shopping for a better mousetrap now.

So far the inverter is working flawlessly has very nice options charges my batteries when they get low seamlessly switches to grid when battery voltage is low also. My panels for the most part charge the batteries during the day power the inverter and sometimes I make it through the night on battery power but if not the inverter switches to grid and startes charging the batteries. My only complaint is the display does not show watts out amps out only a percentage of what the inverter is loaded at so if your using a little amount of power it will say 6 percent if your using alot of energy it will say 85 percent but I wish it would give me a watts out. But the display is easy to use and can adjust battery charge parameters. It is a massive unit very heavy need 2 people to mount on the wall safely.
