Bought this to replace the old ZooMed lamp fixture we had for years that one side stopped working on. This new lamp was much cheaper and arrived the next day and works great! My sons Bearded Dragon basks under it everyday. Works great and I have no complaints. Would definitely recommend!

I ordered this particular lamp holder despite the spattering of negative comments. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this unit when I opened it. I was planning to use a new Mecury Vapor lamp and wanted as much cooling as possible and was delighted to see that the "apron" or lamp shade, if you will, was a separate piece. So I just left it off and my bulb gets total air flow and this should help extend the useful life of the bulb. I made a right angle hook to suspend the prior set of lampshades and this unit's two hook points worked just perfect with the addition of a small "S" hook. I'm very pleased with this unit's construction and as a Retired Electronics Engineer I can attest that at least my unit was well spec'ed, carefully assembled and seems very high quality all around. Highly recommended!

I have always used tube style for my bearded dragon cage bought these and very happy with it however the 2pack of bulbs from mixjoy I purchased to use didn't last 3 weeks so if you order bulbs do your research in reviews before you purchase

The size of it is perfect And for the value for your money, it’s really good. It can also hold up to 160 W lightbulbs for me. I only had to use 125. The only complaint is that it’s a little flimsy.

The heat lamp holder works fine the cords could be a little bit longer works great but be careful it does get very hot on the outside and I have had to buy repeat bulbs because they burn out so fast
