Omg! I'm so surprised how effect this filter actually is. I have the Brushed Stainless Steel,EKO Mirage X 21.1 Gallons Motion Sensor Trash can. Up until now I experienced nomal kitchen trash can smells when using the trash can and especially when changing the trash bag. Since I added this filter to my trash can I've noticed that the usual smells have been neutralized 100%. I'm serious, I smell nothing anymore. Before making this purchase I was a little skeptical when I saw a couple of negative reviews however I have not experienced anything but zero trash smell when using the trash can throughtout the day. Full disclosure I have a busy household, I cook and clean often so I do change the trash bag daily sometimes twice daily. Still it doesn't give off smells at any time like it once did. I'm so glad I bought this filter. Don't hesitate to give it a try.

I've used activated charcoal filters in my cat's litter box on and off for years. I've never used one until now for my kitchen trashcan. This kit comes with the holder + two filters. They're supposed to be changed every two months. I've been using mine for about that length of time as of this review. It has definitely aided in neutralizing the odors in my kitchen trash. The refills are also pretty inexpensive, which is good to know. The holder comes with adhesive strips on it and sticks to the inside of the lid of your trashcan. It's remained in place from the time I placed it, The price is about average compared to similar activated charcoal filter products on Amazon. Overall, I'm happy with this little set and would definitely recommend.

Took odors from garbage can, but didn't last as long as I had hoped. After about 2-3 weeks, the garbage started smelling again.

I've been trying out these little black squares. They came in a small plastic case. Inside the case was two smaller, square filters. They are made of some sort of dark, grainy material. It kind of looks like very fine sand or dust, but it's all pressed together. The package says it's activated charcoal. Each filter was sealed in its own little plastic wrapper. I opend one and put it into the plastic case. The case itself is small, maybe three inches across. It has a sticky back, which is how you are supposed to attach it.I decided to stick the case to the inside lid of my kitchen trash can. It was easy to do. You just peel off the paper backing and press it firmly. I was curious to see if it would actually do anything. My trash can sometimes gets a bit smelly, especially after I throw away food scraps. It's only been a few weeks, but I have noticed a diffrence. The trash dosent smell as bad as it useto. I’m not shure how long it will last but for now its working good. I think the stickey part will stay stuck. I like that they came sealed so they will stay fresh.

I have a small area that has a bit of a mildew like smell. It's not super bad, but hoped this would help. First I'll say it has some 3M tape on the back that will stick to just about anything you need. Comes with an extra filter which is nice.So the "But". How's it work? Wouldn't air have to travel through it to filter any of it? Well it's not. It sticks to the wall and holds a tiny filter. Air can't pass thru here due to design. I mean I can't think of a way it could work. It's been sitting up there for a week & I suppose it's better than nothing, but how could it filter any air? I thought there was a fan or... At least open on both sides. Just sits there. No smell comes from it. Maybe if it were scented. Plus look at it. It's really ugly. It is easily catches the eye with that green color. Better to just toss the filters in those areas and call it. Probably work better too. If you could buy a sheet of it? Just lay it down on the ground & the natural movement of smelly carpet air will make it's way through the filter lol. Or would you tape it to the wall & cover most of it up with green plastic? Lol.Not at all what I thought it was going to be. I can't think of a way this actually works. Waste of money

I decided to try these activated charcoal filters for my trash cans, and so far they've been great for controlling odor from the trash. The charcoal filters work really well at absorbing unwanted smells and preventing any odors from lingering. The filter case is easy to place in the can, and I love that it’s a natural, eco-friendly option. I’ve noticed a big difference, especially in the kitchen. Plus, it lasts longer than I expected! Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a simple but effective way to keep things smelling clean.
