We have gas appliances in our house and decided for safety reasons, we should have a detector for leaking gas. We got this one, did the test, and it works fine. It just gives us a sense of security in the event there's an issue. There are some specific locations these need to be mounted so, for optimal detection, be sure to pay attention to where you put it.

I brought this product to detect gas leaks. It plugs into an electrical outlet. What could be easier?The description doesn't mention the outlet must be 12 inches below the ceiling. Uh, who has an outlet up there? So now I have a choice. I can hire an electrician to install an outlet that high ($65-$200+) or I can duct tape the device in the heavens and run an extension cord down to an outlet. That looks real swift.Had the seller been honest about product requirements, I -- never -- would have bought it. Perhaps somewhere in the 5 videos, a warning is given. I shouldn't have to watch 5 videos to be informed of a product defect.I'll use option 3 and toss the thing into the trash. Twenty dollars wasted.

Look no farther, this is the best detector. I tried more expensive one and it was terrible.I have propane heat and oven and this has number always lite. Should be on zero, but if it goes to higher number alarm sounds.Others dont have number lite up.Buy this u wont regret it

Good compact product. Value of money. Give you reading. Takes 30 sec to calibrate it self. Easy to use. 3 Function detection. Handy product for kitchen and garage to detect leak.
