I've read some of the reviews before deciding to have my hubby purchase this for me. Yes it doesn't come with instruction, but it was so easy to setup. 1 piece required to be attached and if you put a thin piece if cardboard between the butterfly screw and table you are using nothing gets scratched or damaged. Between unpacking it and setup I was winding yarn up in 5 minutes. I've so far have done 4.3 ounces up to 14 ounces without an issue. Oh and yes, it's a little noisy and my hubby put a drop of oil on the gears, it did help just a little with the noise and it improved on the stiffness of turning it. With all this being said, I'm very happy with this yarn winder

Great product it came in on time. Easy to operate even my grand children as Young as five years old can operate it. What a great thing to get the family involved in crafts. The quality for the price is well worth it with my large stash of yarn. This has helped me to combine yarn bolts into one cake. Above all, it is very durable and faster than hand winding my yarn. The assembly was easy and it looked exactly like the picture. I have been able to turn scrap yarn into multi-color yarn and self striping.

I’ve had several ball winders through the years. This one is great durability, and speed is awesome. I love the larger size and the design of it is great! It all works very easily. This one is a great value for the money.

This is a very jerky ball winder. The parts continually loosen while winding. Also, it is very loud and there is a metal part on the bottom of the arm that sits on the table top. Now the top of my table has many scratches and gouges.

This yarn Winder works very well especially for the price you’re paying. I think it’s very equal to Starwood Yarn Winder. It’s a decent size, easy to use, pretty quiet overall I think it’s really good deal for the price you’re paying.

Came with no instructions but figured it out by looking at it. However, there is no cushion of any kind between the countertop and the wing nut that holds the main lead arm. This caused a deep circular scratch on top of the countertop. Maybe it says to use something as a cushion but like I said, it came with no instructions.

I am thoroughly impressed with this large capacity yarn winder! It's incredibly easy to use and handles large skeins effortlessly, making my crocheting projects so much more organized. The winder is sturdy, smooth, and very efficient, winding yarn into perfect cakes every time.
