Photos app only manage photos and videos, no other data. And it is a one-way transfer which only allows photos from card to your iPhone.
1. Insert a memory card that contains photos or videos into the card reader. Turn on iPhone & iPad and attach the reader to the Lightning port.
2. On iPhone & iPad, select the photos and videos that you want to import. View the photos from Album and share it with your friends or family.
3. “Photo” APP can only can read photos or videos taken by digital camera. It will show nothing if photos or videos were not taken by digital camera. If you want to read other files, or photos and videos were not taken by digital camera, please upgrade your iOS to 13 or later and follow the instruction of next page.

Files app is an important app which can transfer files between your memory card to your iPhone & iPad.
Data from your iPhone is “on my iPhone” and data of memory card is on “Untiled” (or "NONAME", which is the name of your memory card)
You can view data and transfer the data between memory card and iPhone.
Files app not only manager can videos and photos, but also manage music, PDF, word, or Excel, etc.
1. Insert a memory card into the reader. Turn on iPhone & iPad and attach the reader to the Lightning port.
2. On iPhone & iPad, open “Files” app. You can view the files in your memory card. You can view most files like jpg, MP3, word, excel, ppt and so on. If you can view the files but can’t open it, you may need to download a third-party app to read this file.
3. You can delete files or copy and paste files from memory card to your iPhone or iPad. Or coy files from iPhone or iPad to memory card.
4. If you can see the data, but not able to open it, you need to download a third-party App to open it.

This works as described. I got this to download video from my GoPro hero 10 without having to use the GoPro Quik app. This does that for me, it also can view any other sd cards on my iPad. It feels like a quality device, the cable is thick, and it works flawlessly. It was also inexpensive for its capabilities. I wanted the ability to retrieve GoPro footage without a paid subscription. Pretty easy to use. Seems compatible with my other action cams and trail camera sd cards. Also fit well while using a case.

I had one of these for over 2 years before misplacing it. I just ordered another and it works great! It’s super convenient for travel and ease of downloading. It fits in any phone that takes a lightning cord.

My family spends a lot of time in the woods hunting. When we first moved here we didn't have the wireless cameras out in the woods. All we had was a basic trail camera. We would have to bring the memory card to the house check it on the laptop and then take it back out into the woods. Now we are able to take this small device with us and connect it to our phones and check our cameras. Very easy to use.

Its the perfect size to take it on a small bag and hand bag, I take it everywhere when I go out with my digital camera and it works pretty well. The transfer speed is not like the fastest but it’s does the job. Its well packaged in a bag and It’s easy to use. It also comes with instructions.

I needed to transfer my passport photo from a USB drive to my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Loved the fast shipping too. I ordered the adapter this afternoon, and it arrived after dinner. Will have to say there was a learning curve because I could not get it to work even after several tries. I was about ready to give up. Then I plugged the USB drive into the adapter and then plugged the adapter into my iPhone. The little light turned on. Yay! Then I followed the directions provided. Go to Files app on my iPhone, Locations and there was my USB drive files with my passport photos.

Kind of ineffective at times and keep having to switch it constantly in and out of my laptop. Reads it every so often which is annoying. Should be easy to use but kind of flimsy. Speedy and good picture quality when it does work. Good value for money I guess

The cable stopped working after two uses. Now, when I plug into my phone, there is no Import tab that appears like it did before. I have tried dozens of times since then to make it work. Nothing. waste of money. buy another.

May just have a faulty one but the device isn’t recognisable on any iphone i’ve tried in either camera roll or files.
