These TECKNET Water Leak Detectors are incredibly loud—so much so that I’d recommend covering the alarm area with your hand when installing the batteries and testing them. I tested the first one without covering the alarm so, got the full volume and ringing ears. These are water leak detector alarms with a loud alarm sound. They are designed to be placed somewhere where leaking may occur and they will be triggered when they detect either water on the ground where it is sitting, or if water lands on it. My first impression was that they look professional and are compact and simple.This is still my impression of them—they have performed as expected when I tested them, so they will certainly do the job. There is the point that you will want to ensure the water drops directly on them; if the water drips next to it, it should eventually be detected by the sensor at the bottom however.I think if you need something like this I can recommend it. The alarm is very loud and they do what they are supposed to.

These water leak detectors are very simple to set up and use, providing some reassurance and peace of mind.With 2 detection modes (for dripping and standing water) they are useful in a variety of situations. We have one under the kitchen sink, one in the utility and one in the bathroom. It was tricky to place the kitchen one - should it be directly under the trap or on the floor under the cabinet? We decided on the latter, which meant removing the plinths of the kitchen units (and will need to do so again in a couple of years to replace the batteries - which are included, so that’s a plus).I did a test of one of the detectors before placing them and they did detect correctly which is reassuring. The sensor is loud but can be adjusted. I think the only negative is that these are not smart sensors so if one went off when you were not at home you wouldn’t know. That’s probably ok for a drip if you will be home later but if you were away for an extended period of time perhaps might be worth considering smart detectors.

These are extremely loud so don't be worried about not hearing the alarms on these. They are easy to install and replace the batteries. Typically this is not something that's going to be on display but they are aesthetically pleasing to the eye. They have already saved me. My washing machine broke down recently and the new one wouldn't fit and it turns out that it must have a million to one chance that the shape of my old machine just perfectly avoided the pipes at the back of machine. So unfortunatley a small job turned into a huge job of cutting the pipes at the back of my machine and resetting them further back into the wall even then it was a tight squeeze. Anyway I decided to put one of these down while everything was exposed and it was a good job I did because the plumbers pipe work was faulty and there was a slow leak that would have probably taken months maybe even years to discover that would have caused mould and rot behind my kitchen units. So from that point of view these are a life saver and a highly recommend them.
