I prefer the aluminum frame, as the metal ones rust fast, and the plastic ones don't last. The netting on this has had no issues but it can be hard to empty because of its depth. The skimming lip is a good idea and works well. Good product, good price, fast delivery. Happy

I bought this a month ago to replace a net I bought from a big box store. In the past my net’s life expectancy have been less than a year. So far I believe this one is going to last a long time. I will give it a one year review update. So far it works fantastic! I really like the beveled frame which allows you to scoop leaves easily. Emptying it is a breeze and it is definitely heavy duty compared to all that I have used in the past.DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

Works Very Well and is Well made. A 20" inch net creates extra drag when cleaning. Great exercise for shoulders and arms.

My favorite pool net so far. Price is right and works well. Unfortunately broke after about a year of daily use. I live in Florida and my yard is surrounded by towering neighbor trees, so I really have to use a net daily. This net is basically a metal hoop with a plastic cover. The metal loops around to the base that attaches to your pole. The metal hoop broke right at the bend that inserts in to the base. But, for under $30 not bad. Just ordered another.

Where do I start:- it's sturdy- the mouth is large- the netting seems strong and that it will last- it's reinforced with aluminum- it slides along the upper edge of the pool for easy skimming- the lip is well-designed to pick up debris on the bottom of your pool- locks in well to your skimmer pole- the netting is the right mesh size to pick up small debris but easy to move through the waterAs you can tell, I kinda like this skimmer. Easily a 5-star product!

Ok, a little background first. I didnt buy this for a pool. I have an old shallow well that the previous property owners abandoned, letting all the insulation rot and fall into the well. I've decided to bring the well back into service as a secondary water source so we aren't using our cistern water for the garden and lawn.So I bought this to scoop out the insulation sitting at the bottom of the well. I bolted it to a 20ft telescoping pole and basically jigged it across the well bottom over and over. The net got dragged against the steel well sides, and I was pulling up soaked insulation weighting likely up to 30lbs. This net took it no problem. No deformation of the metal rim, no abrasions on the mesh net. The twisted lip allows you to get a very close "shave" to the bottom you are skimming. Worth every penny spent and saved me $300 on a hydrovac truck for such a silly little project.
