02/22/2025I thought i was getting a great, easy to use product that was a good value. The control capability was easy to use, though i think the temperature control setting wasn't calibrated correctly...And...It IS a great product! It stopped working but once I clicked/pushed the reset button, it worked great again! So just FYI, if it stops working, check the reset button!02/22/2025

We have a wood boiler that parts were no longer available for, and we use this to control the blower on the boiler to keep the water temperature at the desired temperature. works great very accurate extremely easy to use. We also have one we use to control the temperature of a seedling heat mat. will be buying more units soon

This is an amazingly well designed and well made temperature controller. This is a 5 Star product if there ever was one.Design - This is as close to perfect as I think you can get. It is SO EASY to use. Simply adjust the Turn-On and Turn-Off dials to set the temperature and flip the switch from Set to Lock and you are ready to go! It adjusts to 0.1 degree and the temperature sensor seems very accurate.Build - It is so solidly built! Everything about this device says QUALITY. The display, the adjusting dials, the cords and plugs, everything.Function - I tested it set for both cooling and heating and it went on when it should and turned off when it should. There is a small LED by the Turn-On dial that lights up when the unit is on. That "could" be a little bit brighter, but you can see it. In my case, I'll know if it's on or not because the fan will be running or not. There may be some cases where you can't see or hear if it's on or not, so that's a nice touch. They include an excellent manual with the product, which is a nice touch. So often they are lacking and hard to understand. Interesting that it's a really good manual, but the device is so well designed, you really don't need a manual! In the attached pic's you'll see one shot with the display set fully on and one where it's dimmed. There's a toggle button on the side that controls that.=================================================================I'll be using this to control an exhaust fan in my chicken coop. On hot days, I want to start moving that hot air out of the coop as soon as possible. And then as evening approaches and it starts to cool off, it will turn off.One thing to be aware of is the max. rating of 1200 W. I think I'm going to get second one to control a small heater. That heater has two settings: 750W and 1,500W. I'll be sure to have it set at 750W so that I don't exceed the limit of the switch. It does have a built in circuit breaker and it will kick out if you connect something that draws more than 1,200W

1200w is not that much in the hvac world, but if your application does not demand more than that, this is a very practical controller. I really like that you can easily use it for either cooling OR for heating (I have another that is limited to heating). It is well thought out and is easy to figure out: choose C or F, lock your settings, change the screen brightness - all done with buttons, not searching through menus. Turn the knobs slowly for fine increments, turn it faster for larger increments. There is a fuse that has a pop out button so you will know it there is an issue. It takes accurate readings, according to my other thermometer. It has a loop, so it can easily be attached to a vertical surface. So where could it improve? The little light on the front indicating your device is powered, is barely visible. It is well made, but does not fit into the "robust" or "very sturdy" category in my book. Perhaps it doesn't need to as it is only meant to stay in one place. This is particularly noticeable with the sensor - there is no seal between the metal sensor housing and the cable. I might put some heat shrink on the joint just hoping for a little more durability.Still, it is a really nice temperature controller, and I am happy that I got it!

I originally got this for a 90 gallon aquarium, but plans changed.I have a cabinet I keep the air pumps in. I have a linear piston pump, and 5 traditional pumps in there. It was running warm and I had to open the doors. It got loud, originally I put sound deadening foam in the cabinet and it was getting very very warm in there. Originally I put a small fan connected to a vent to cool the cabinet and it was louder than the pumps.I have upgraded it to a computer fan set up, and am using this temp controller to kick in anytime the cabinet hits 80. It is working it only kicks in when needed and is working great. It was hitting the mid to high 90s with the new fans which is not great for the equipment. It now kicks in at 80 shuts down at 70.This is working so nice. The air pumps are all running cooler and do not have to work as hard. I am ordering another so I can use it on the fish tank I wanted it on. I was hopping to protect the fish from a catastrophic overheat from a heater failure. If this device turns heater on and off it should extend the life of the heater, and protect the fish from failure.I am very pleased at the quality and ease of use of this unit.
