I do like this yarn winder. The first one started acting up after having only would 10 or so balls, and not in the same day. Within 2 weeks, it failed. The return and replacement was easy. I hope this one holds out. I have only wound 2 balls on it. I buy 7 yard skeins.

The Gamkii Electric Yarn Winder is a fantastic addition to my knitting toolkit! It's incredibly easy to set up and use, winding yarn quickly and quietly into perfect cakes. The compact design is both sturdy and stylish, fitting nicely on my crafting table. It handles various yarn weights effortlessly, saving me so much time and hassle. This winder is worth every penny and has truly enhanced my knitting experience. Highly recommend it to all crafters!

I love that I can now take a tangled mess of a skein of yarn that's started falling apart and wind it back up into a neat ball again. A few notes on this particular yarn winder- you have to assemble some of the pieces before use, which is easy to do and there are clear instructions.- The cord is removable, like a charger style plug. The peg in the middle also comes off easily. This makes it easier to store.- The tension spring is...interesting. I guess it depends what type of yarn you're working with. So far I have only used this on worsted weight yarn. I feel with the tension spring on, it pulls the yarn too tight. I don't really see a need for it, and one time it flew off in the middle of winding so I just don't use it most times now. Works fine without it.- The plastic is lightweight which makes it easy to move and use, but also makes me wonder how long it will last until something breaks. I wouldn't recommend this for heavy duty constant winding, I don't think it would hold up. So if you craft your own yarn from your own wool and have a lot, maybe look for something more sturdy. But for someone who just likes to crochet or knit in their spare time and is tired of getting halfway through a skein of yarn then having it fall apart and spending an hour untangling and rewrapping it, this little yarn winder is perfect!

Saves a ton of time turning a scein into a tight ball. Has a smooth pull, no tugging on the yarn. Works quickly with no snags or stops.
