Very easy to use, just a slight learning curve trying different gear settings for different tasks. Definitely start with a lower gear to begin with and increase if needed. Great tool and works exactly as intended.

the little portable units only seem to weld if you don't press very hard. This one does a better job with a little bit of pressure. Makes me think it's doing a better job of fusing the battery to the nickel strip rather than just melting the nickel strip and it sticking to the battery terminal. Still have to find the right balance of pressure.

After wasting my time with cheaper, battery powered units that never worked or worked well, I tried this unit. It worked perfectly right out of the box. No hassles, and the foot pedal was an excellent addition. Plenty of power. Rebuilt 3 power tool batteries with ease the first time using it.

This is a pretty basic design that's similar to several other chinese spot welders. it warmed up quickly (took a few minutes to reach 5V). The guards for the probes are pretty basic so i'll probably reinforce or use tape to keep them from moving around. but otherwise it worked as expected and was able to repair some broken spot welds on my mug. no idea about longevity or durability yet, but it does work and it's relatively cheap!

The spot welder had plenty of power for my needs. Fixing power tool battery packs. A little too much at the full setting when it’s fully charged but that’s not a problem. I just turned it down.Overall good enough for the money. I’m happy with it.

This is a great unit and works just as intended. Battery packs can be expensive and a lot of times it can be just 1 or a few cells that are not working so I replace the bad cells with new ones and this welder is needed to weld the packs back together. The machine itself has already paid off with the amount of battery packs I have repaired for my power tools and kids toys. and laptop battery. This is great for anyone doing battery repairs for business.

So far so good! The build is nice and beefy; I didn't take it apart to review it's internals but it is clearly much stronger than those little hand held jobbies. This thing is powerful enough to weld a hose clamp to a flat bracket (plate)! It's a THIN hose clamp but still, it's a lot heavier than the typical nickel material used for making 18650 battery packs.I don't have many miles on this one yet, so I cannot speak to how well it will hold up over time, but so far, my impression is that this spotwelder is solidly built and meant to be used in professional repair or light custom pack construction.4 stars across the board

For anyone building battery banks, this spot welder is a solid option. It handles nickel strip welding effectively, with the choice of an auto-weld delay or a foot pedal to control the welding pulse. The clear display and easy-to-use selector dial make setup straightforward. While the "super capacitor" claim might be a bit of marketing, it doesn’t impact the performance. This is a capable, user-friendly tool for precise welding tasks. Highly recommended!
