Works like a charm, needed this to mirror my 2017 13" macbook on a Panasonic tv, as the laptop screen broke and repairs would've been too expensive. I just plug the mini display end into the thunderbolt port, and it even mirrors audio into the tv speakers. Highly reccomend!

This work to connect an older MacBook to an HDMI cable. I wanted an extra one to keep in my computer bag for when I was lecturing and needed to connect to a display.Make sure that your computer has the right output jack before you purchase as it seems that they change them every few years.

I am not a technologically-minded person but I wanted to hook my 6-year-old MacBook Pro to my TV so I could stream workouts to my TV (I don't have any other streaming devices and figured cables like this would be cheaper than trying to figure out a device). I saw this Belkin cable on the Apple site but decided to get it from Amazon (Prime shipping and all that). I did buy directly from Amazon (in February 2016) and not another seller, even though it cost just a little more, and I received what I believe to be a genuine product.There's not much to say about this product. It works as intended. I plugged one end into the Mini Display port on my laptop and the other end into an HDMI cable that went to the TV. I set the source for my TV and fiddled around with the display settings on my computer until I got the picture on the TV screen. I did my workout. It was great! Much nicer to see the images on the big TV screen instead of the little laptop screen.Long story short, the product I got performed as expected. It was easy to set up and get working, even for a non-techie. I am happy with the results.

This adaptor held up just fine, but the HDMI port is loose in the case for it. It has not been a problem yet, but I can feel the port move and hear it make a quiet click if pushed gently back and forth. The adaptor works just as advertised though. The video comes through at 1080P with crystal clear picture and sound. I highly recommend it for the price.

New macbook uses different port, be sure of what you buy, but this one works great on older mac. macbook pro with dual monitor capability makes this a great second screen option.

I have purchased many HDMI adapters for use with my Macs. And until this one, I paid WAY more for a quality adapter.So, I was a bit skeptical when I found such an inexpensive version made by a reputable company. I use this adapter everyday and for the past two months, I have no complaints.The previous version I bought at an Apple Store and while it DID have better build quality, they both perform equally.Pros:Does what it's supposed to doSmall form factorReputable brandInexpensiveCons:Slightly lower build quality than more expensive version.This adapter is good choice no matter what the application because you can buy 2-3 for less than the more expensive version.

Our previous mini-display port adaptor failed and I picked this up as a replacement. We have several HD monitors in the house and a 2017 MacBook Air and an older Microsoft Surface 2 laptop that have mini-display port for connecting an external monitor. This cable works fine for both computers. The display is rock solid. We tried this with Dell and HP displays with no issues for either. Happy with the purchase.

I recently returned the computer from work and started to use my personal.I wanted to use my second monitor but there's no way to connect the HDMI cable to my old MacBook, so I ordered this one and it works like a charm.I like that it's thicker than a regular HDMI adapter, so I think it'll last long
