I'm using this to try to seal leaks in a shingle roof. I'll edit the review later if needed.I bought the 20" wide roll and it's pretty easy to carry (15 pounds or so). Getting the tape off to unwind it initially was tricky, I ended up cutting into it a bit, and it's very easy to cut through with a knife or whatever, so I ended up with a few smaller pieces to start with. The only downside of this aluminum and layered product is that it might be able to cut or tear quite easily, and it's slippery to walk on.I used disposable rubber gloves and recommend something similar since the edges and glue will be very sticky. Peeling back the layer and sticking it on was very easy. Glue seems to stick quite well.

I used this tape for several projects and found it extremely helpful. Will buy again. Holds up well outside in cold and inside when subjected to heat.

Our roll of self-adhesive flashing tape arrived sufficiently packaged and promptly. This tape is a must-have toolbox item that you need on hand to fix problems when they occur instead of waiting for a plumber or other repairman, or waiting for a big box store to open. Our initial use to test this Waterproof Tape is our slow leak pipe for one of our outside faucets. It has a hairline crack, so rather than replacing the PVC (it’s got a switch for when our pool needs water), we put this tape around the crack. Of note, the tape does not come with instructions printed on any of the packaging, so I wrote down the steps taken by the person in the seller’s video and scotch taped it to the inside of the cardboard roll. It is so easy to use: clean the area of the leak, measure the amount of tape you need, cut the tape, remove the white backing, and then smooth the tape over the area of repair. Smooth it fully, paying careful attention to the edges and corners. That’s it! We followed those steps and aren’t worrying about our faucet. The label says the tape is good for 30 years. I won’t be updating my review in 2053 - if we can get a few seasons out of this repair, I’m calling it good. For those of you in the frozen north, the packaging says it is good down to -40 degrees C (which is also -40 degrees F) At the high end, it is good to 120 degrees C or 280 degrees F.Get this for your toolbox - you’ll need it eventually and will be glad you have it.
