I got this to troubleshoot my coax cables at my house. Seems to work, but the instructions are only really for the Cat 5 cable part of the tester. It indicates a connection but in a confusing way not talked about in the instructions...

This tester served my purposes exceptionally well. I needed it to confirm that a repaired HDMI cord, was functioning as expected. Defintely saved some time knowing that some wires weren’t connected properly. Easy to use at a fair price.

We have had recently some issues with HDMI cable connections and had no easy and reliable way to verify the cable and some others we had lying around in a drawer.My husband ordered this and to evaluate with certainty that we had a bad, intermittent HDMI cable which we thought couldn't go bad, but this tester proved to us that the cable was bad.
